I kept it pretty simple and focused on layering to build some texture and interest.

I started with a tag base and worked in the background using a couple of different stencils from Stampers Anonymous. I layered them with Distress Paints from Ranger Ink, keeping mostly to blue tones with a bit of darker contrast. I didn’t overthink the placement, I just moved the stencils around and built it up gradually until it felt balanced.

Once the background was dry, I added some extra details with stamping and a bit of grungy texture. The focal point is a couple of paper dolls combined, which I layered slightly for dimension. Then I added a few small word pieces (“Now is the time” and “Adventure”) to tie the theme together.

To finish it off, I outlined the edges, added some subtle shading, and attached a piece of black ribbon at the top.

Nothing too complicated here, just playing with layers, stencils, and paint. It’s a good reminder that using multiple stencils doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Just keep building slowly and let the background come together on its own.

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
