Today I’m sharing a colorful mixed media tag inspired by simple shapes, soft watercolor blends, and bold black details. I started by building a loose rainbow background with watercolor and ink splatters, keeping the colors bright but slightly distressed for a more organic look.
The floral design was stamped, colored, and carefully cut out before layering everything with dimensional adhesive to create movement and depth across the tag. I really love how the black outlines help each element stand out against the soft background tones.
To add extra texture, I included stitching, handwritten stamping, and small white splatters throughout the piece.
These details bring everything together without overpowering the design.
The final sentiment, “Focus on the Good,” became the perfect focal point and tied the whole project together in a simple and direct way.
This was one of those relaxing projects where layering colors and adding small details became the most enjoyable part of the process.
A great reminder that even simple elements can create something striking when combined thoughtfully.

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what you think of this project, leave a message!
Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!
