BEHOLD NOW 2026

Hello Crafters !

Here we are with a brand new challenge over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is:

Something new

New Year, New Craft Stash, New Baby, New Job, anything ‘New’

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them, we would love to see them used.

For this challange Simon Says Stamp kindly offers a $25 gift voucher to shop over Simon Says Stamp!
Simon Says Stamp is also on Instagram! If you would like you can also share your projects there, but don’t forget to use the hashtag #sssmchallenge

There’s something deeply powerful about the very first creative project of a new year. It sets the tone. It becomes an intention. And it quietly asks us to slow down and notice.

For this tag, I chose the word BEHOLD : a word that invites pause. Not rush. Not expectation. Just presence. To behold is to look closely, to witness what is right in front of us, without judgment or hurry.

Paired with it, the tiny secondary word NOW felt essential. Because if there is anything this new year is asking of me, it’s this: be here.

The Design

This vertical tag came together organically, letting layers and texture lead the way. I started with a bit of gesso then splashes of Infusions here and there to create some colored area.
The background carries soft, weathered tones, creating a quiet stage for the message.
The bold numbers 2026 anchor the piece at the bottom, grounding it in time, while still leaving space above for reflection.

The foliage wraps gently around the center, symbolizing growth, continuity, and life unfolding at its own pace. I love how the leaves soften the strong typography, reminding us that strength and gentleness can coexist beautifully.

The pop of red in NOW was intentional , a small but powerful interruption. A heartbeat. A reminder that the present moment is alive and pulsing, even when everything else feels muted and calm.

To make the weathered effect I used Distress Ink Paint and a piece of baby wipe to remove the excess of paint.

The Meaning

BEHOLD NOW 2026 isn’t about goals or resolutions. It’s about awareness.

It’s about standing at the threshold of a new year and choosing to see it , not rush through it. To embrace what grows. To witness what unfolds. To honor this moment, exactly as it is.

This tag is my quiet declaration for the year ahead. Less noise. More noticing.

Thank you for being here and starting this new creative chapter with me 💚

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
