This tag began with the idea of movement and momentum, and everything else grew around that feeling.

I wanted the background to feel busy without becoming chaotic, so I kept most of the palette within a range of neutrals, black, and warm ivory tones. The limited color scheme allows all the texture to do the heavy lifting.

One of my favorite areas is the heavily layered center section where old ticket elements, clock pieces, and fabric come together. The stitched edges and loose threads add a handmade quality that contrasts nicely with the graphic shapes of the paper elements. Rather than hiding those imperfect details, I let them remain visible because they help tell the story of how the piece was built.

The bold black silhouette immediately becomes the focal point. Positioned in front of the layered ticket and clock imagery, it creates strong contrast against the lighter background and helps anchor the composition.

To keep the darker areas from feeling too heavy, I added texture through the star stencil. Their bright surfaces catch the eye and break up the black and neutral sections while adding dimension. Small paint splatters and droplets scattered across the surface further connect all the individual layers and create movement across the tag.

The finishing touch was the small word label: attitude. Sometimes a single word is enough. In this case it felt like the perfect match for the strong silhouette, layered vintage elements, and the overall sense of determination that runs through the piece.

This is the kind of project I enjoy creating most—lots of layers, visible texture, worn edges, and enough contrast to make every detail stand out while still feeling connected to the whole.

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
