Vintage Art Journal Page

Hello Crafters !

Here we are with a brand new challenge over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is:

Art Journal

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dyan Reaveley. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

For this challange Simon Says Stamp kindly offers a $25 gift voucher to shop over Simon Says Stamp!
Simon Says Stamp is also on Instagram! If you would like you can also share your projects there, but don’t forget to use the hashtag #sssmchallenge

I love art journaling, i do that a lot, but I rarely post them because most of the time it is so personal that i am not enough confident to share these pages.

This art journal is different tho, it contains pages I did for mostly Simon Says Stamp challenges.

I love the texture I was able to achieve in these pages. the first background layer is a bunch of Tim Holtz Paper and a layer of collage paper. I then covered most part of it you can’t even notice it LOL.
Then I added some paint a mix of Dylusions Paint and Distress Paint – plus a bit of crackle paste and grit paste.

I let everything air dry, it takes a lot and I do not even know how I can manage to wait the air dry thing, but I noticed the result is 100% better so meanwhile I have stuff air drying i move onto new projects or, like in this case, I added some more vintage feeling to these ephemera from Ideaology.

How I achieved it? I simply distressed the sides with Distress Ink Ground Espresso then covered everything with Distress Frosted Crystal. This thing is PURE magic. Can turn everything into magical vintage in an heartbeat.

The rest was glueing all together, add some details with the Watercolor Pencils from Ranger and stickers also from Tim Holtz Ideaology line.

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
