I made this Christmas Card for my boss using my favorite Reindeer Dies!
I am not a Christmas Lover, I mean, I love Christmas, I love the season and everything else….I just don’t like to create Christmas Themed stuff…. but if there is something I love about creating Christmas Stuff (when I do) is to use this amazing Sizzix Die. I love this reindeer head, it is simply my favorite. you might have noticed it since I am using it a lot lately. I have this huge stash of dies that I once did for a workshop that now are just hanging there and so I grab them everytime I need one! It is not paper but it is a material similar to plexiglass. I colored the deer backwards so that the front was slightly opaque. I used distress paint.
The base of the card is simply Simon Says Stamp Cardstock, I cut it to a large size since this is a card i made for my boss, we bought him a gift for Christmas so they asked me to make the Card and we are a lot of people in the office so I had to make sure the card was able to fit everyone’s signature! I ripped a couple of Simon Says Stamp Vintage paper (sadly this is a discontinued item, I wish it was back in stock!!) and I glued them to the background with Gel Medium. Then I added a wash of gesso. When dry I applied modeling paste throught a stencil and used distress paint to color the background. I added a lot of water to my distress paint to make them watercolor looklike.
I let it dry then I stitched around the card and glued it to another piece of cardstock. Glued down the reindeer and the sentiment.
I love this color palette and I hope my boss will like this card!
