Hello Crafters!

Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

 

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Show us your metal!”.
Who does not love metal pieces or metallic color!? I do love them! So this week’s theme really made me happy! I decided to alter a small paper mache box that contains a small necklace I gifted to a friend of mine for her birthday.

I covered the paper mache box with painters tape of different size. This gave me awesome textures! I covered everything with gesso and let it dry. Then I used a stencil by The Crafter’s shop to add Heavy Transparent gel to create texture.

I added some nails to the background and I used really short nails to prevent them to show in the box, I placed them to form a star shape and then used a wire to shape it. I did a couple of layers before cutting the wire and start adding colors. I used Art Alchemy by Prima Marketing to achieve the metallic and rustic feeling. I just love it.

I also wrapped the wire around the top of the box and added color aswell. The box opens and inside you find the necklace.

The stickers by Tim Holtz says “Make a wish” which was perfect as sentiment for a birthday gift!

  2. This is another work of art! I don’t know what the necklace looked like that was inside of this box, but I would chuck the necklace and just keep the box! It is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
