Today I worked on a tag with a slightly vintage feel, building the background with soft blended colors and layered details.

I used distress inks to create a subtle mix of tones and then added stamped clock images to give the piece a sense of time and movement.

I like how those circular elements frame the focal point and naturally guide the eye across the tag.

For the main element, I chose a vintage-style portrait and surrounded it with clovers to bring in a pop of green.

The clovers add contrast but also help support the theme of the piece. To finish it, I added the sentiment “Lucky is a state of mind,” which felt like the perfect message for this composition.

Sometimes creativity feels a bit like luck, ideas come together unexpectedly and the layers just seem to work. This tag was one of those moments where everything fell into place in a simple and satisfying way… and i am so glad that Simon Says Stamp has coordinating dies with these stamp set! It makes everything SO EASY
