Grunge Tag: Autumn Vibes

Hello Crafters !

Here we are with a brand new challenge over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is:

Grunge It Up!

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Carabelle Studio. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

For this challange Simon Says Stamp kindly offers a $25 gift voucher to shop over Simon Says Stamp!
Simon Says Stamp is also on Instagram! If you would like you can also share your projects there, but don’t forget to use the hashtag #sssmchallenge

I started this tag with spritzing some distess ink through a stencil.

Then I used another tag to soak up the eccess ink — this way you make two tags background! I used a lot of inks so i was able to also create another “print” with a watercolor paper.

This way I will have TWO grunge background to play with next time!

I used Distress Resist spray through the same stencil and let it dry.

Please remember that when you use Resist Spray you should clean the stencil/tools right away!

I used the same color palette (Speckled Egg, Chipped Sapphire, Rusty Hinge and Ground Espresso) for the leaves. This time I used Distress Ink Pad and used the old “smush” technique — I simply smushed the inks over the media mat, added spritz of water and smushed the paper over the inks!

I added layers making sure the colors where well dry before adding other layers of colors. Then I run the paper through the SideKick and cut out the leaves. Inked up the edges and then decorated the tag.

Check out my instagram profile to see the video on how I made it!

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
