Hello Crafters!
Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!
Don’t be scared, you can CREATE ANYTHING you want sea theme related….from just a palm tree to flipflops to ice cream….anything that inspires you!

For my inspiration, I altered a Pringles cap! You know these clear plastic cap? YES I have tons of them, mainly because I used to be addicted to Pringles and I saved a lot of them. Usually I use them as color palette for when I am mixing colors, but today I wanted to alter them!
I first collaged a lot of scrap paper because I was working on plastic and I was afraid it was going to melt with the embossing tool! So I used a lot of Distress Collage Medium and glued down a bit of paper. Then I covered it with gesso and started working on my layers.

I used Dylusions Ink Spray to create the sea, I love them. I forgot how much I loved working with them and I am so happy I used them for this project. The colors are so vibrant and vivid.
i create the sea texture using heavy gesso by Prima Flower and a white thread.

I used Tim Holtz patterned paper to create the little boat and of course I used the Tim Holtz stickers to create my sentiment!
To give the “sea” the “sea” feeling, I used Stampendous Encrusted Jewel kit ….but I did not heat set them! I simply glued them to the base with gel medium.

Simon Says Stamp is also on Instagram! If you would like you can also share your projects there, but don’t forget to use the hashtag #sssmchallange

Stay Happy Stay Creative…till next time!
