I used gel medium to stick the two pieces together then with the Mini Tim Holtz Scissors I cut around the edge to remove the excess. I took a bit of gesso, I watered it down with a bit of water, then with the Ranger Spatula I spread the gesso around.

I took some washi tape and stick them to the background to create some texture. I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology TISSUE TAPE SYMPHONY Music TH92829 and other small ones I had laying around my desk. I used some more gesso to tone the washi tape down then I covered the pieces of washi tape with some gel medium to make sure they stick to the background.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3859″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]After my base was ready, I took a bunch of distress oxide ink and started playing with the background colors. I loved mixing these colors together — in the ingredient list at the bottom of the post you can read all the colors I used — I made sure to dry each layers before applying the other colors.
I then took the red one and made some splashes with a brush. I let it dry completely meanwhile I was choosing what image to use in my tag.
I found this one that is super cute in my opinion. I love this girl grin on her face![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3862″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I cut around the image and stick it with gel medium, then I added a bit of modeling paste through a stencil to create a big bold 25 in front of the image.
I let it dry then I ran the tag under my sewing machine to add some finish touches.
I used some more red to add color to the 25 because the white was too strong and too “in your face” , i think this way it blends in more with the entire tag.
I also added some Stampendous Embossing Powders, some stickers and rub ons by Tim Holtz.
Lastly I scribbled with a black pencil around the image and around some small decoration.

I hope you liked this project and get inspired! Don’t forget to hop![/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_pageable][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][eltdf_content_title content_title=”project details”][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”3857,3858,3859,3860,3861,3862,3863″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
