This tag was created using a mix of Distress products to build a layered and textured background. I started by applying Distress Ink, Distress Oxide, and Distress Paint directly to the tag. By blending and layering these mediums, the surface developed a rich mix of warm colors and depth. Each product reacts differently, so the combination creates variation in opacity and texture across the background.

To add more dimension, I spread texture paste through a stencil. This step gave the tag a raised surface that catches both color and light, making the background more interesting. After the paste dried, I added additional ink and paint to highlight the texture and help it blend into the rest of the tag.

For the focal point, I used the Sizzix Wildflower die to cut delicate botanical shapes. The die cuts were layered over the background to frame the vintage portrait and bring movement to the composition. Small collage elements and word strips were added around the photo to finish the design and balance the layout.

The result is a mixed media tag with strong texture, warm tones, and layered details that draw attention to the central image.
