Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is Frame it up!
For this challenge I decided to use my favorite “final touch” — the sewing machine and the “framing up” the project with stitches!
I love sewing on paper , I think it adds so much interest.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2787″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I started working on my TAG from the background. I glued down a bunch of old book pages — with no direction, I only wanted to cover the whole background with text.  I took a couple of stickers from the Tim Holtz Industrial French sticker sheet and I added them to the background. I Then covered everything with a bit of gesso. I set aside to dry.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2789″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I grabbed a bunch of distress crayons and I scribbled some over my backrgound. Then I took a brush and I moved the color around with water. I love working like this with distress crayons! It gives me so much control on where I want to apply the color!
I added a couple of layers and then I let it dry. When the backrgound was dry, I took again gesso and with a spatula I added it over the backrgound to tone the color down and to create sort of backdrop for the gentlemen sticker.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2788″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I took random stamps and I subtle stamped here and there, just lightly to give some more interest to the background. I added the sentiment, from a Tim Holtz sticker collection (of course) and then the final touch… I framed the entire tag and then I did some scribbles with the sewing machine to highlight some details in my Tag.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2786,2787,2788,2789″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
