Hello Crafters!

Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is You’ve Got The Edge We would like you to focus on the edges of your creation and add some interest to them, You could use die cut borders, distressing, embossing, inking, stitching or any other way to draw your eye to the edges of your project. we will be looking forward to seeing how you interpret this challenge!

I started with adding left overs die cut all around the corners of my tag – I wanted to add some interest to it. I covered it with Gesso and let it dry.
I then took a couple of acrylic paint and started painting using my fingers. I spread the color all over the tag mixing the Pink and Yellow to get some interest mixed color. I set aside to dry.
I took again some gesso and added it over some spots to add some light.

I took some black paint and added to the backrgound trying to add some shadows. I let it dry again then took some pink and add it again over the black and white. I took an old baby wipe and with the brush I added some pink over it. I wanted to blend it a bit with the background, or at least to have some color in common with the backrgound. I added some tissue tape and then I glued the baby wipe down.

I glued the paper dolls to the baby wipe, then I took my sewing machine and started adding some sewing all around it.
I found some stickers that I thought they were PERFECT with the paper dolls that I choose. I glued them down then I added even more stitching in order to highlight the words.

Stay strong, stay curious. They are a perfect match. A mom and a kid. 🙂

Love the bold, grungy look of those intense colours over the texture. Fab stitching and loose threads giving even more delight and detail.
