This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Make a Wish” ! The theme is so open to so many ideas and projects and I am so excited to see how you will interpret it!
I altered one of the awesome wooden panel by Tim Holtz and Idea-ology — they come in different size in one pack and I choose the one that was more or less big as a normal ATC.
I covered the wooden panel with Gesso and glued some pieces of Tissue Wrap Paper and Tissue Tape here and there, I did not want to cover up the whole panel, even if it looks “messy” you can still see part of the beautiful wooden texture in the background. I used distress markers to add some colors and I blended the distress markers with my fingers and a baby wipes.
I used black heavy gesso through the mini stencils by Tim Holtz, I love that now these stencils come in a mini size…they are PERFECT for small projects like ATCs. You can find them all over Simon Says Stamp…of course!
When the gesso was dry I used some distress paint to highlight the peeks of the gesso. Love the effect!
Tim Holtz came to the rescue again….his line of Ephemera is always PERFECT to decor your projects – I love every sets that he has, here, I layered a bunch of ephemeras and stitched them together – I topped everything with a photo from the Vintage Photo Booth set and a sticker from the Small Talk stickers sheet to add the sentiment.
