For this card I was inspired by the story of Amelia Mary Earhart – I was asked to create a card for a friend who is going through a big change in her life as job carrer, as town where to live etc. She is moving out from Italy so we are all excited for her although she is of course really scared! But we have faith in her and in her capabilities!
So… I made this card for her!
The background is a mix of layers between distress paints over tim holtz tissue wrap paper. To apply the color i used both my fingers and a make up sponge. I also added a strip of decorative tape and used gesso between layers to tone down the colors a bit.
When I was happy with the result I stamped the big and bold plane and stitched the background all around.
I also added some gold to give even more importance to this card. I dont know why but gold makes everything even more special!
The sentiment is a stickers from Tim Holtz, of course.
