For this challange, I wanted to alter a matchbox that I had since a while. It is one of the Bare Basics by Papermania and I so love them! Love the color and love how easy is to alter them!

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2293″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I started by covering partially the matchbox with gesso. I used my fingers to apply it , I let it dry and then I added a couple of layers of paint. I set aside to dry and then I used Distress Collage Medium Vintage to add a “vintage look”. I wanted to go for the fluo color, but at the same time I wanted to have the “brownish” feeling of thte bare basics boxes…[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2296″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I decorated the inside of the matchbox with the same color scheme of the outside box and I let a vintage photo from Tim Holtz Ephemera hang from the top. On the bottom there is an old love letter that my mom wrote to my dad when they were kid. It is their anniversary in a couple of days and this will be my gift for them. I will replace the Tim hOltz ephemera photo with one of them when they were kid (they met when they were sooo young …. 15 years old!)[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2295″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I die cut these hearts from burlap and I used a Simon Says Stamp stamp to add the sentiment.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2293,2294,2295,2296,2297″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]
