Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Butterfly Beauty”.
I particularly love butterflies, they are so magical to me! The way they live their short life at the fullest is impressive!I always reference to butterflies when life is challenging me!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1981″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I covered my tag with pieces of tissue paper, from the Postale and the Melange tissue paper. I love Tim Holtz’s tissue paper as I find it to be the best thing ever for backgrounds (and not only!). I also used bits of tissue tape and some textured drywall tape to add some interest in the background. I covered everything with a bit of watered down gesso and then used Distress Spray to add colors. To achieve the “shiny” background, I made my customs Distress Spray! I took a small empty spray bottle, added a bit of distress spray and then mixed a teeny tiny amount of perfect pearls. It worked perfectly!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1983″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I used Prima Marketing Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz layering stencil Zig Zag to add some texture in the corners of the Tag. Since in my head I already pictured the piece of  rolled book page, I wanted to add some interest in the corners where the paper was not there. I love this texture paste! To highlight the texture I mixed a bit of Antique Bronze and Brushed Courdroy. I love the mix between these two!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1982″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Lastly I added the butterfly and the sentiment, I used once again Tim Holtz stickers. I simply can’t get enough of these stickers! To color the stamped butterfly I used again distress spray and I used some jewelry pins to create the antennas. I also used some distress ink to add the brown edge around the tag. The background was slighlty covered with gesso so the yellowish color of the Manila Tag kinda show through.

I can’t wait to see how you interpreted this theme!
