Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “At the Movies” and we are showcasing Spellbinders Products this week, you don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I made this art journal page inspired by one of my ALL TIME favorite actor..Sir Charles Spencer , as well known as Charlie Chaplin.

My beloved granpa introduced me to Charlie Chaplin’s movie – I can vividly remember me sitting on my granpa’s lap and watching with wide open eyes these movies. The first movie we saw was Modern Times, and if you ask, this is still my favorite movie. I remember smiling, looking at my granpa and then laughing together at his every silly goofy moves. Only later in the years I was actually able to fully understand – and appreciate – these silent movies.

I used some distress spray stain to add some color to the background, I dry again and then covered the entire surfaces with pieces of tissue wrap paper. I love that you can still see through the tissue wrap paper!
I kept adding color over the tissue wrap paper and I was not looking for a specific look, I just wanted to add color, to achieve a vintage-ish feeling.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2382″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I used a couple of Tim Holtz Layering stencil to add some more interest and I also stamped here and there numbers with Stampers Anonymous stamps.
I die cut a piece of vellum with Spellbinders ROBO RINGS ETCHED dies and I glued it to the background. I am not really happy with that because if I would make this art journal page again, i would have die cut directly on the page — oh well!! I love this dies a lot so I am sure i will use it again![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2385″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

The sentiment and the Charlie Chaplin image are printed from my computer and glued with some glue. As final touch I used Distress Crayon to add some depth to the pages, I used them on the edges of the pages.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2381,2382,2383,2384,2385,2386,2387″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
