Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2920″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I glued together a couple of old book paper pages to make them thicker. I covered the pages with clear gesso because I was going to use a lot of water and I was afraid that my base would fall apart…
I grabbed a couple of distress oxides and started building my backrgound. I let the layers dry well before adding more colors and when I was satisfied…well… I covered everything with white paint. I used a spatula to add white paint, and with the same spatula I removed some paint to make the backrgound pop back again.

I repeated the process above a couple of time, till I was so happy about the background….that I decided to burn part of it! LOL![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2922″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]As I was burning pieces of the paper, so many memories came back to my mind. I was so happy and at the same time so melancholic. It was an awesome feeling that I tried to transfer to my art journal page. I added pieces of tissue tape and stamped image – Then I took my sewing machine and I started to add some stitches all around the page.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2921″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I took an old photo of me, a photo that I always loved. I don’t know why. I know I shouldn’t say that i love this photo, but, even if I might sound vain, I do really like this photo. There is SO much behind it. I do not know why, but I took the photo in my hand and I crumpled it up in my own hand. Why? Who knows! I then took the lighter and burned around the photo. I loved the effect.

Then I took again a bit of white paint, I added water and I used a brush to cover the entire photo. I let it sit for a couple of seconds, then with a cloth I removed the paint. This left a thin white halo over the photo that made the photo fit perfectly with the background.
Please note that my photo was printed with Canon Selphy – this printer allows me to add water or paint or color without ruining the photo itself. So try this method at your own risk, lol!
