Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Masculine” and we are showcasing some fabulous Darkroom Door Products. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have any of their products we would love to see them used!
I am lately in love with masculine tags, so here I made another one where I used this fabolous stamp set Darkroom Door Cling Stamp GRUNGE MARKS Rubber UM DDRS174

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2829″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I started my tag with some die cuts from a Sizzix Alphabet, I glued them down and let the glue dry. I applied gesso with my fingers so that I could achieve a rough texture. I set aside to dry again.

One of the perks of moving is that you have the chance to find stuff you totally forgot about….like Distress Stains for example. LOL i know you are like “what how can you forget about Distress Stain?!” well, yes that’s me! I totally forgot I had a bunch of Distress Stain  so I decided to play with them and I made this backrgound! I mixed a bunch of blues and I am in love with the result![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2833″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]This stamp set by Darkroom Door is definitely one of my favorite, I love it because it is a big mix and there are so many different textures that you can either mix togheter or use separate! To stamp, I used archival ink.
When I was satisfied with the background I started layering the images. First I used a piece of wood veneer in lattice – I glued it down with gel medium. When it was completely dry I added the rest of the images, the little guy, the dog and finally the words.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2828″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]To finish off my tag I of course added stitching. There are a lot of layers, so stitching was a bit difficult, but I used the sewing machine in super slow mode 😀 (meaning that I was pressing the button so slowly and with the fear of breaking the needle!)

Last touch was to add fiber around the top hole and … my tag is done![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2824,2825,2826,2828,2829,2830,2831,2832,2833″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
