[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I was inspired by the Greek mythology of King Midas (Re Mida in italian). He had the ability to turn everything gold with his touch … not sure if this was a blessing or a curse? I don’t know, but when I think about gold, I think about time. Because Time is what really makes us rich. Time is the real royalty, the real gold thing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Italiano” tab_id=”1516029477498-39098072-e95a9052-8b992f2a-7142″][vc_column_text]Ciao Creative!

I used gel medium to glue it down and I pressed it really hard with the Ranger Craft Squeege tool. I love this tool because it helps me getting rid of air bubbles. Then I took my spatula and I applied a bit of gesso. I let it dry completely, then I took my two distress paint and with a flat brush I colored the background. I let it dry again then I added distress crackle paint and once again, I let it dry.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3653″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I love adding crackle paint but, oh boy I hate waiting for it to dry. I know  you can speed up the process by using an heat tool, but then you have to be extreme carefully to not burn it… LOL so I ordered a pizza meanwhile! When the crackles were formed I took my black distress paint and I applied it to the background making sure the paint was going into every nook and crannies. I let it sit for a minute or so, then with a baby wipe I gently removed the excess. I took the gold paint and with a make up sponge I added it to the background. I love the touch of gold![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3647″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]When I was happy with the background I added a couple of stamps then with the distress blending tool I darkened up the edge with Distress Ink black soot.
I was happy to use this BIG paper doll for two reasons: 1) this little fella has gloves on, and I thought it was perfect for King Midas and not being able to touch things 2) because it is as big as my tag, so it gave me the idea of Gods being big and all.
Don’t know…does it makes sense to you? to me it does LOL!

I stitched around the tag to give it a finished look, then I added a bit of wax to highlight some parts of the tag. Added the sentiment, and I was done![/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_pageable][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][eltdf_content_title content_title=”project details”][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”3647,3648,3649,3650,3651,3652,3653,3654,3655,3656″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
