[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3179″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]As always I started my tag by covering the entire background with book pages. I have been asked plenty of time why I do that — the reason is easy. By adding a layer of text book, book pages or anything that has words on them, it already gives me a textured ground where to build even more texture. It does not matter what the paper says – it does not have to be my mother language and it also does not have to be glued down perfectly. You just have to create movement and texture. That’s all.
I used a spatula to add some gesso over it, I didn’t cover the entire surface, just the center part and tried to leave bits and pieces of paper in the background.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3180″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]With the distress stain and distress spray I added color. First I used the Spiced Marmalade since it is the lightest color, I let it drip all around the tag and I tried to not cover the full surface. I dry it with the help of the heat tool and repeated the process with the Ripe Persimmon color.
I dry it again and when it was completely dry I added a bit of crackle paste.
I stamped the backrgound using the background stamp by Indigo Blu. I used archival ink because i was not sure i was done with the backrgound! Then I added modeling paste through a the crafter’s workshop stencil.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”3181″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I added a couple of accents with the Flakes by Indigo Blu, and I glued the paper doll from Tim Holtz.
Sentiment is two stickers combined together and as always to tie everything together I stitched all around the tag and also added a bit of dark with a black pencil in the corner of the tag to give more depth to the whole project.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”3179,3180,3181,3182,3183,3184,3185,3186″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
