Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Going Around Circles” — and boy if I love circles!
I had so much fun incorporating circles into my Tag

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2817″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I started to work on my Tag’s background with a bit of Gesso – I only have left Manila tags that are yellowish, so I wanted to white out the background before adding other mediums. When the gesso was dry, I glued down pieces of Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap Paper and then added some more gesso.
When everything was completely dry, I started adding some distress oxide fun. I am IN LOVE with Fossilized Amber, and you might have noticed it, since I am always using it…. LOL[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2816″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Of course, after Fossilized Amber, I had to use Broken China, because let’s be honest…this combo is AMAZING. Simply amazing!
I didn’t do anything special here, as the magic is brought by the Distress Oxide themselves…. I just played around to decide where I wanted the color and where not. I let it dry then I added a couple of stamps by Tim Holtz just to create some movement and interest to the background.

When I was done with the stamping, I took a bit of gesso and draw some more circles with my fingers, and let it dry again.

I took the cap of my glue and used it to stamp a bigger circle where I wanted to put my main focus.. To stamp this circle I first used gesso, then I used archival ink a couple of times.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2813″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]When i was ok with the background — and trust me, sometimes it is SO HARD to stop — I went and with my BFF sewing machine I added some random stitches. One to frame the entire tag and other zig-zags to enlight the big circle.
I took this lovely little girl from the Tim Holtz Paper doll collection and let her sit over my main circle.
Then all was left to do was add wording….[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2811,2812,2813,2814,2815,2816,2817″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
