Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Home Decor” and we will be featuring products from Prima Marketing. If you do not own any Prima Marketing products, don’t worry, you can still join us!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2024″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I started by adding texture paste over my canvas. I used a Prima Marketing Stencil that I really love and White Sand paste , I let it completely dry and then I started adding colors! I love working with pigments and mica! To activate the colors, I added a bit of water and then with a waterbrush I controlled where I wanted the color go.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2025″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] When I was satisfied with the background, I used the same color scheme to color a small canvas that I flipped to use it on the back. This way I created a small “shadow box” if that is what I can call it! I let the color dry then with archival ink and some stamps from Prima Marketing, I stamped here and there to create interest to the small canvas. Inside of it I places a photo from the Tim Holtz photo booth collection.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2022″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I decorated the canvas with pieces from a collections from Prima Marketing, I like when embellishments comes this way, it makes life easier when you want to decorate something!

Behind the small canvas I also made a small layering with papers from the Cartographer collection.

I really like how this canvas turned out!

I can’t wait to see how you interpreted this theme!

  1. This piece is wonderful and shows just how versatile you are as an artist! You are so good at 3D pieces AND pages AND basically everything else I’ve ever seen you do. I especially love all the splotches and puddles of color on this one.

  2. This is just fabulous! I love especially the frame you received from using the small canvas! What a great idea. Love all the sunny colors. Hugs, Marzena

Barbara

  4. Gorgeous canvas, Zoey! So fun that we used the same chipboard set and even lots of the same pieces, but that it looks so totally different! Love the colors and your background. Hugs, Sandra
