[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]For this week’s challenge I had so much fun playing with Distress Reinkers! You usually use them to….well….refill your distress ink, but you can also use them to create stunning backgrounds! My only advice is.. be careful!! Because they are VERY pigmented and you only need a teeny tiny bit to cover an entire tag!!
To start off, I used pieces of the Word Play alphabet and adhered them to the background. I do this to create texture, so i didn’t pay attention to what letter I was adding and where. I also glued down a strip of Tim Holtz Collage paper that I stamped with the Simon Says Stamp Good Reading cling stamp (one of my favorite!).

After adding colors I let dry completely and then I added splashes and splatters with white and black acrylic inks. This gave an artsy finish to my tag!

When the background was complete I simply created my cluster with a bunch of pieces from the botanical collection by Tim Holtz, layered over two photobooth and then I ran everything under my sewing machine.

When the tag was done, I added the stickers and then I thought something was missing,so I added a touch of gold here and there to match the sentiment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Italiano” tab_id=”1516029477498-39098072-e95a9052-8b99ccb6-2c4f”][vc_column_text]Ciao Creative!

  1. Beautiful tag, the colours of the elements are so perfectly matched in the background you have created. The delicate tones are so soft they could have been washed out without those touches of black. Just perfectly balanced, thanks for sharing and I love the circle frame for the detail shots. x

  2. I love this, Zoey! Your tag is gorgeous, and the colors remind me of spring. I really like how you grouped the photos and flowers, and added your wonderful stitching! I hope it has started to cool down for you! hugs, Maura

  3. Oh my the colors on the background are so lovely, delicate and soft. I love the dimension the alpha random letters gave to this tag. And I can see your slight addiction to the small circled mixed media die, I love it too although not usiing so often. Love the black stitched contrasting with the soft pastels. Hugs, Marzena

  4. Zoey, this tag is gorgeous! The background alone is beautiful and I love how you built up your layers and then added the stitching is such a wonderful finishing touch, it brings all the elements together so beautifully! Hugs, Anne xx

  5. Gorgeous tag Zoey 🙂 the photos are fabulous and I love the background and the layers, the flowers popped behind the stitched photos look stunning!! Very lovely 🙂
