Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Felt it”!
We are showcasing products from the Simon Says Stamp ‘Spring Plush’ Release. I love how cute and adorable are these dies i think they would make the perfect gift idea for kids! We are also using the Simon Says Stamp Felt that is so soft and smooth!

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2062″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I added color to the manila tag using a couple of the new distress crayons. I loved how easily was to apply them to the tag! Then I blended everything using my fingers and the help of a baby wipe to help me with the blending. Then I added a layer of gesso and then again some more distress crayons. I decorated the tag with pieces of tissue tape and stamps.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2063″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I die cut these two adorable raindrops and I also die cut the top of the tag with the cloud. I glued the tag over another tag and then put back in the pieces of raindrops that I die cut.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2066″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] I die cut again with the cloud die, but this time using the new Felt sheet by Simon Says Stamp — these wafer dies are AMAZING and cuts felt like butter! I glued the felt die on the top of the tag to make it become a bookmark! Then I took the black distress crayon and added some shadows here and there!

I can’t wait to see how you interpreted this theme!

  1. This is such a unique piece! I really love the combo of the black with the more subtle colors. I also thought it was totally brilliant of you to use the dies with the holes in them without sewing through the holes! SO CLEVER!!!!!

  2. Fabulous bookmark, Zoey! Love the dark cloud on top, it really catches the eye! And the soft background is such a wonderful contrast. Hugs, Sandra

  3. That’s a really good reminder on those dark cloud days, and love how you made it into a bookmark!

  4. I love the color combination of distress crayons you used for your background, Zoey! The sentiment with the black clouds is perfect. Your genius combination of elements makes this art piece speak. I love it! Cathie <3

  5. Gorgeous tag Zoey, I love the black cloud and then the pretty colours in the raindrops, absolutely fabulous! love the sentiment too, it reminds me of the Monty Python film, Life Of Brian 😉
