Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Take a Leap (into the unknown)”.
I had this idea planned in my head, but as I was working…things has changed a little. The idea was to make two big buildings from where the rope was going to hang but….my room is SO MESSY that I couldn’t find the dies. So instead of making it my own (duh!) I was so concentrated that I decided to switch things around a bit!
I grabbed two Manila Tags and started adding pieces of paper, tissue wrap paper, gesso and colors…

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1752″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]These TAGS (in my head) represent the two buildings I wanted to make – I die cut letters from the Tim Holtz Word Play die and on one side I wrote “fear” and on the other “dreams”.

For me, a big “leap into the unknown” is finding the perfect balance between your fears and your dreams. We usually have our fears that hold back and play games into our minds that do not let us achieve our dreams…[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1753″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]…and of course I had to add my little wire guy to this creation.

To balance the little guy over the rope that represent the journey I decided to create a big umbrella that I decorated using this cute fastener by Tim Holtz. What represent the umbrella? Everything that surrounds us. From friends, from family, from work…to anything else and more.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1748″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]

So here is how interpreted this week’s theme, I cannot wait to see what you guys will make![/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”1753,1752,1751,1750,1749,1748″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]

  1. Oh Zoey! Again I drooled over your project and even dragged my hubby over to the computer to see how cool it was (and he agreed because he also knows amazing art when he sees it)! You not only create beauty with your skills (which are flippin’ fantastic), but you create such powerful feeling and emotion with your pieces! I don’t just see your art, but I FEEL it and I think that is the sign of a true artist. Thanks for giving us something so meaningful and soul-filling in every single post!

  5. Ok, let me pull my jaw up off the floor!! Zoey, you have a wonderfully creative, think outside the box brain! OMG, I love what you have made…I think I am glad your room was so messy you couldn’t find your buildings, because the tags work so well. Love how you made your wire figure balance between dreams and fear, and like you said, we are all trying to do this in our own lives. Brilliance!! Hugs, Maura

  6. I love the idea, this is so creative. I’d never think about it. I love the color as purple is my favorite one. Beautiful project! Hugs, Marzena
