Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Nautical / By The Sea” and I absolute LOVE this theme!
Don’t be scared, you can CREATE ANYTHING you want sea theme related….from just a palm tree to flipflops to ice cream….anything that inspires you!

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2221″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]For my inspiration, I altered a Pringles cap! You know these clear plastic cap? YES I have tons of them, mainly because I used to be addicted to Pringles and I saved a lot of them. Usually I use them as color palette for when I am mixing colors, but today I wanted to alter them!

I first collaged a lot of scrap paper because I was working on plastic and I was afraid it was going to melt with the embossing tool! So I used a lot of Distress Collage Medium and glued down a bit of paper. Then I covered it with gesso and started working on my layers.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2227″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I used Dylusions Ink Spray to create the sea, I love them. I forgot how much I loved working with them and I am so happy I used them for this project. The colors are so vibrant and vivid.

i create the sea texture using heavy gesso by Prima Flower and a white thread.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2225″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]

I used Tim Holtz patterned paper to create the little boat and of course I used the Tim Holtz stickers to create my sentiment!
To give the “sea” the “sea” feeling, I used Stampendous Encrusted Jewel kit ….but I did not heat set them! I simply glued them to the base with gel medium.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2228,2227,2225,2223,2222,2221″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]
