Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

This week’s theme over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challange is “Monochrome” — so we are celebrating the magic and wonderful world of shading, blending and more! Back to a couple of years ago, when I “landed” into the mixed media world,I remember I always made projects that were monochromatic. I don’t know why, I just felt like this was my safe place. I love colors, but, I always been afraid of them. I thought it was hard to choose colors and combine them, I thought it was easier to just choose one color and go with it. Now…I think that I was so wrong..the real deal comes when you have to stick with one color or family color and then use only them! LOL!
I had so much fun with this challange because it brought me back to when I “started”…I can’t wait to see how you will interpret this theme!

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2098″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I always loved playing in two sizes, I always made two project at time, one small and one bigger. I did the same exact thing here. I took a tag and and ATC and I started creating the background. I wanted to stick to the “one layer” theme aswell , so no dimension whatsoever. (Yes Yes…I like challanging my self!) – so one color at time and one shade at time….I built up my background.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2099″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]I added a couple of stencils there and there and a bunch of stamps that you might not be able to see but they peek through the layers of paints. Then I added a tissue tape — technically that is admissible to a one layer project….right? LOL!
I doodled on one side and then I darkened up the edges with archival ink.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2100″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]Final touches, as always, are stickers by Tim Holtz and a couple of splashes of inks here and there![/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2101,2100,2099,2098,2097,2096,2095″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]
